SunnyB French Toast


1 cup milk

1/4 cup flour

4 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon salt

12 thick slices of bread of your choice

12 tablespoons SunnyB Smooth

250g Bacon

Maple syrup (optional)

Icing Sugar (optional)


  • Preheat oven to 200°C. Place the bacon in a single layer, not quite touching, on baking paper on a baking tray. Cook in the oven for around 20 minutes for thin-cut bacon.

  • Heat the frying pan over medium heat.

  • In a medium bowl, whisk milk and flour together until smooth. Whisk in eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Pour into a shallow pan or bowl that is wide enough for your bread.

  • Lightly oil or butter the hot pan.

  • Dip bread slices in egg mixture, letting sit for 15 to 30 seconds until the mixture is absorbed and both sides of the slice are moist.

  • Lift the slice and let the excess egg mixture drip back. Carefully transfer to the pan. Cook bread on each side until golden brown. Remove to a plate and keep warm until all slices are cooked.

  • Spread a tablespoon of SunButter on each slice and add a piece of bacon.

  • Drizzle with maple syrup and dust with icing sugar if desired.
